| Zebra Technologies Awarded GSA Schedule March 4, 2003 Zebra will Provide U.S. Federal Government with Zebra Printers, Supplies, and Connectivity Technologies VERNON HILLS, Ill., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Zebra Technologies (Nasdaq: ZBRA), a global leader in delivering on-demand printing solutions for business improvement, today announced that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) placed Zebra products on Federal Supply Schedule GS-35F-0268N. The GSA schedule enables users at numerous government agencies, including the Department of Defense, and designated state and local governments to purchase Zebra products from Zebra and its authorized government resellers through a streamlined purchasing process that ensures compliance with Competition in Contracting requirements. Zebra products have been added to the GSA schedule for five years, through January 2008. New products can be added to the schedule at any time, ensuring government customers will have access to the latest printing solutions for secure tracking, identification, and access control. This is the first time Zebra has held a GSA schedule, although its products have been available to government users through other master contracts. "This schedule represents a significant growth opportunity for Zebra and our authorized government partners," said Edward Kaplan, Zebra's chairman and chief executive officer. "It makes it easier for government agencies to purchase Zebra products and Zebra-based solutions. We look forward to continuing to work with the government to provide printing and connectivity solutions for applications in asset tracking, logistics, healthcare, homeland security, and law enforcement, among others." The GSA is a centralized federal procurement and property management agency created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public. It acquires, on behalf of federal agencies, office space, equipment, telecommunications, information technology, supplies, and services. The GSA provides services and solutions for the office operations of more than 1 million federal workers located in 8,300 government- owned and leased buildings in 1,600 U.S. communities.
