New High Speed Laser Coding System for Labelers

March 7, 2002

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Gurnee, IL, March 7, 2002

Domino Amjet, Inc., has released a breakthrough laser coding system that seamlessly integrates into even the fastest labelers. The system delivers high quality, real time coding on labels being applied at the highest production speeds.

The new Domino DDC3L is based on Domino’s exclusive, field proven DDC Series direct laser coding technology and cumulative experience gained from successful labeler installations in over 20 countries worldwide. The new DDC3L provides a turnkey solution to the reliability and real time performance needs of the food and beverage industries.

At each laser head, up to 72,000 containers per hour can be reliably marked with 2 line codes. They may contain real time production data, serial numbers, or simple batch data. Up to 100 messages can be stored and recalled instantly for quick product changes. Powered by Domino’s exclusive, direct coding, cool running, seven sealed tube matrix laser, the system is virtually maintenance free.

Special software accurately tracks through the labelling process, ensuring that each product is coded. The built-in master-slave capability allows up to 4 DDC3L units in a cluster of labellers to be controlled from the master unit. Labels can either be coded on the label pallet or bottle table. Fine adjustment of code position can also be achieved even as the labeller is running.

Customized installation packages are available for seamless integration in all major OEM labelers, for both new and upgrade of existing systems. Full IP56/NEMA 4 compliance assures rugged endurance in the most demanding production environment.
