As your partner, DuPont understands your needs and will work with you to solve your packaging challenges. DuPont resins and films can help you improve package performance in a variety of ways: Whatever the challenge, we’ll help you meet the exacting packaging requirement so that your products will taste as good as they look, and stay looking good even longer. Surlyn® packaging
resins – remarkably tough yet crystal-clear ionomer resins that provide the
highest level of seal integrity. Outstanding hot tack strength, a low melting
point and a broad sealing temperature range allow increased processing and packaging
speeds. Nucrel® acid
copolymer resins – the premier adhesive for aluminum foil. Nucrel® provides
excellent adhesion to other metals; paper; PE and other polymers: and fabrics.
Used as a sealing layer in laminated and coextruded packages, its properties
include excellent hot-tack strength, problem-free flexing and the ability to
seal through contamination. Mylar® polyester
films – the leading polyester film and most popular laminating substrate for
flexible packaging structures. Mylar® combines easy machinability, strength,
high- and low-temperature resistance, crystal clarity and printability. Plain
or metallized, formable, heat-shrinkable and/or coated for barrier, printing
or sealing—tough, beautiful Mylar ® is an outstanding barrier to gas and water
vapor, resists flexing and puncture, and maintains its strength at both freezer
and oven temperatures to provide leak-resistant seals for many applications. Elvaloy® AC
acrylate copolymers -- a family of resins that are high compatible with LDPE,
and easily bond to many polar and nonpolar substrates such as PE, PET, OPP and
OPA. They offer high melt strength and is non-corrosive and low odor producing. Bynel® coextrudable
adhesive resins -- a family of specialty coextrudable adhesive resins designed
and tailored to provide the needed interlayer adhesion between a wide variety
of structural, barrier and heat-seal packaging materials. Elvax® EVA copolymer
resins -- a full range of film and coating grades that combine tough, low-temperature
sealability with excellent clarity, cling, flexibility, and impact and puncture
resistances. Its easy processability at lower temperatures translates into energy
savings and trouble-free processing. Appeel® lidding
sealant resins – designed to be a heat-seal layer in flexible lidding and label
structures, Appeel® can provide peelable seals to CPET, APET, PP, polystyrene,
PVC and PE rigid containers. Selar® RB modified
barrier resins and barrier technology – helps produce an all-plastic, rigid
barrier container that will effectively contain most solvents. It can be dry-
blended with a polyolefin resin and then extrusion blow-molded using DuPont
patented, one-step laminar technology. DuPont 20 Series
specialty polyethylene resins – fill a broad range of health care, cosmetic
and food packaging applications where purity, proven quality, environmental
stress-crack resistance, and design and decorating flexibility are important
considerations. Cyrel® photopolymer
printing plates -- Tyvek® |
